After being brought up with Airdales and Yorkshire Terriers I decided that I wanted a change. I went for a Fawn Pug Dog and a Border Collie Sheepdog, an unlikely combination! But they got on fine. However, when the Border Collie reached 15 years of age,
I had a yearning for another terrier. The Airdale was too big, the Yorkshire Terrier too small so what should I have? The perfect Terrier for me was the Dandie Dinmont
. Decision made I now had to find one. A telephone call to the Kennel Club put me in touch with the late Miss N Paterson and Mr J Wiseman, yes, they had a little pepper dog wanting a good home, and if I passed their test, he could be mine. A days drive to Wales to see this little puppy and to meet the breeders. I couldn't wait to get there. On my arrival I was met by a very handsome mustard Dandie who was Parstone Marauder.
